TOSH
Orogenic Gold & Silver
Priority Drill Target

Minfiles: 115G 106 & 115G 107

In Brief:
      • Large, newly discovered orogenic gold system
      • Open, 1.9 km Au-As geochem anomaly with soil values to 5.8 and 2.4 g/t Au
      • Widespread alteration and gold mineralization found over 15+ km
      • Same geological terrane as White Gold (White Gold Corp) and Coffee (Goldcorp) projects

Tosh covers a series of new, grassroots discoveries in an under-explored but prospective part of the Yukon Territory.  Two separate kilometer-scale soil anomalies have yet to see drill testing, nor have any of the additional prospecting discoveries on a mineral system extending at least 15 kilometers.

Project History

The Tosh project stems from prospecting discoveries made by Ron Berdahl in the late 1980s.  The property saw intermittent grassroots prospecting programs by Berdahl through the 1990s and into the 2000s, expanding the known mineralized system.

In 2012 and 2013, 18526 Yukon Inc. performed grid soil sampling (~1000 samples) with encouraging results, revealing two NW-SE trending zones of anomalous geochemistry, with gold-in-soil values up to 5.76 g/t Au, accompanied in places by high silver, antimony, zinc and lead.  The established lengths of these zones are well over a kilometer each, and they appear to extend much farther.  A small geophysical survey completed over one of these areas revealed continuous conductive structures spanning at least 600 m and extending off both edges of the survey.  Follow-up, and ultimately drilling, is needed to test these anomalies and the extent of this new gold system.

Geology & Mineralization

Mineralization at Tosh is found along large shear zones, in quartz-carbonate veins, in breccias and in silicified shales, with values of up to 6.8 g/t Au and 401 g/t Ag in grab samples over an area spanning more than 15 kilometers.  Visible gold can be panned from mass mats on certain parts of the property.  The mineralized system remains open in all directions.

Geologically, the Tosh property bears many hallmarks of a major orogenic gold camp.  Host rocks are high-strain schists and intercalated marbles of the Yukon Tanana terrane, the same geologic province which hosts recently-discovered multi-million ounce gold deposits (e.g. the “Coffee” deposit – 4.1 million ounces gold in reserves and resource) and from which over 390 tonnes of placer gold has been recovered.

Infrastructure

Tosh sits 20 km from the Alaska Highway, an all-season connection to deep-sea ports on the Pacific Ocean.  A river connects the property to the highway and could potentially be used for low-cost barge transport.
